It is interesting to present the broaching about the Orient developing, which is the area appeared in the context of sacred symbols. Unfortunately, nowadays, the young people doesn’t know about the real sense of the some symbols which are founded on the commodity markets and where are included the cloths, the jewelry etc. A lot of sacred symbols are now used like advertising or in advertising company, without knowing there real significance, but also the history. The transformation of the sacred symbols is unfortunately caused by the necessity of the advertising imagines, the desire of the people who make advertising to manipulate the customer’s unconscious to determine that only by using this product will change his life in a better thing, beautiful and extraordinary, without taking into consideration the significations, but only the necessity of attracting of a target public or customers.

Still, these sacred symbols are not used only like advertisings or commercial products but also in the cinematography industry, sometimes without notice of their signification.

A case which can exemplify this thing it is the case of the triquetei symbol, used in the American serial Charmed, where the symbol is used to represent the power of the three sisters Halliwell, as good witches who had inherited their powers from their great-grand-mother. The unique sacred symbol which has received the negative connotations is the swastika sign and it is not used in the commercial industry. The name of this symbol comes from the Sanskrit sign svasti, which means goodness and it is an ancient positive symbol. Nowadays swastika is strictly bounded of fascism and of Hitler. He took the symbol in 1919 as the cross with a hook (HakenKreuz). Before being taken by Hitler, swastika used to represent a symbol of fortune. It is known under a lot of names (on swastika and the names of gammadion and cling heraldry cross) each one representing a trait of this symbol (ex: the gammadion-is composed of four gamma sign). In the Middle Age swastika was utilized in the strained-glass-window’s decoration. When this symbol is twisted in the clockwise represents the solar dynamism and masculine, and when it is twisted counter-clockwise (like swastika) it is a lunar symbol feminine. It could be possible to represent the contraries union as like as the Chinese symbol yin-yang.

A little history of the swastika symbol: This it was founded from the prehistoric age in Asia, Greece and Europe and also in Scandinavia and America. It is an ancient Aryan symbol and represents the sun (the cross’ arms are similar to the solar beams), and sometimes is represented by the superposition on a solar disk. In Buddhism this symbol has a special signification, being the one of the eight symbols propitious to the existential cycle and of the signs of the seven representations.

Another sacred symbol transformed in a commercial product is the symbol Taoist YIN-YANG. This signifies the universe duality, duality represented by two antagonistic forces: IN-the negative and passive force (the dark side of the symbol which represents the womanliness and YANG-the positive and active force (the white side) which symbolizes the manliness, but also the perfect balance between the two forces. YIN-symbolizes the soul, the humidity, the coldness, the night, the moon, the darkness, the Earth and the substance and it is associated to a uninterrupted line; YANG-symbolizes the spirit, the warmness, the dryness, the Sun, the Genesis and the domination and it is associated to a unbroken line.
