Even Wal-Mart, the American chain store whose name is almost synonym with cheap merchandise promotes their own right hand ring, called „Independence“ and which is sold on the company site at 389 dollars. 

Even if companies recognize that women have always worn right hand rings, they say however that the new trend comes as a reaction to the engagement ring. And of course it is as well a strategy to conquer the market, since after launching the engagement ring tradition, there still exists potential. Designers admit that they have started from the new generations life styles when they have imagined these concepts. „Jewels are not purchased anymore and offered only on special occasions, like engagement or birthdays. Women wear them as accessories in their every day life and that is why they need a wide range of jewels.
